Why do led bulb flicker on a Dimmer?

Those that have just purchased an innovative lighting method in the shape of an LED unit may begin to notice a slight flicker.
Many consumers that have swapped from halogen bulbs to LED’s may poise this exact question, “why do my led bulbs flicker on a dimmer?”
When a user swaps LED bulbs or a 12V LED for a halogen downlight, sometimes the outcome appears in the form of a direct flicker.
This flicker is annoying at the best of times, even though it won’t always occur instantaneously, it will however become a little noticeable after a few minutes. It is extremely important to ensure that the bulb is fitted correctly in order to overcome this unwanted fault.
The flicker in question may be so small, noticing it will only be possible after watching the bulb attentively. In some cases however, the flicker can be exceptionally befuddling and will as such, prevent the user from wanting to switch the bulb on.
The cognitive behind such a flicker is down to the type of halogen transformer employed. Halogenbulb tend to be powered by a 50W-automated transformer, which is in fact vulnerable to the driving or running of 12V LED’s.
It is therefore very important to check the products needs prior to placing a LED into a halogen fixture or onto a dimmer switch.
Electronic drivers are quite simply powerless to provide a smooth current output to standard LEDs and as such, they release microscopic outbursts of current. These tiny hits of current cause the LED to flicker slightly. The user must however be finicky when choosing a driver, as such a transformer can in fact cause damage to the LED, which will in turn reduce its life span quite severely.
In order to counteract this feature from taking place, you can do one of many things, such as supplementing your electronic transformer with an LED driver. Another option operating a halogen to LED anti flicker convertor. Flicker-free downlights and dimmers are also readily available to solve this problem.
